Braised Tofu in Red Sauce
Ingredients (yields : 4 servings)
250 g firm tofu
125 ml soy sauce
125 ml Chinese yellow wine
70 g white sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp water
Realisation
Cut the tofu into 5 cm cubes;
Mix the soy sauce, Chinese yellow wine and white sugar together;
Marinate the tofu in the mixture overnight;
Bring the marinade and the tofu to a boil, then turn down the fire and simmer for 20 mins;
Dilute the cornstarch in water, then add it to the tofu to thicken the sauce;
Serve with the mashed potato and spinach velouté, and enjoy !
