Veggie Chicken Teriyaki

Ingredients (yields : 2 servings)
  • 50 g dehydrated textured soy protein

  • 500 ml hot water

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp white sugar

  • 3 tbsp mirin

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Realisation
  1. Soak the dehydrated textured soy protein in hot water for 15 minutes (or as suggested on the product package) to rehydrate the veggie chicken;

  2. Drain the rehydrated veggie chicken and pat the surface dry;

  3. Mix the soy sauce, white sugar, and mirin together well to make the teriyaki sauce;

  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet, add the rehydrated veggie chicken, and stir-fry for 1 minute;

  5. Add the teriyaki sauce and cook until the sauce reduces to the desired consistency;

  6. Serve and enjoy!
