Tofu Mohnnudeln
Ingredients (yields : 2 servings)
200 g firm tofu
1 egg
50 g all-purpose flour + extra for shaping the dough
A pinch of salt + 1 tsp
1000 ml water
30 g ground poppy seeds
25 g powdered sugar
30 g butter
Realisation
Finely grate the tofu;
Mix the tofu and egg together until well combined;
Combine the flour with a pinch of salt;
Add the flour mixture to the tofu-egg mixture, and mix until a dough forms;
Shape the dough into finger-shaped dumplings about 1/2 inch thick, dusting the surface with more flour if needed;
Bring the water and 1 tsp pf salt to a boil;
Add the dumplings and cook until they rise to the surface, then continue to cook for another minute;
Drain the dumplings;
Mix the ground puppy seeds and powdered sugar together until well combined;
Melt the butter in a skillet over medium-high heat;
Add the drained dumplings, and cook until lightly golden;
Turn off the heat, then add the poppy seed-sugar mixture;
Toss the dumplings with the mixture until evenly coated;
Serve warm and enjoy!
