Breaded Tofu

*The frying oil should have a high smoke point (180ºC is a good reference baseline), while the flavor of the oil (neutral or not) is a matter of personal preference.

Realisation
  1. Cut the tofu into 3 cm cubes;

  2. Prepare three deep plates: in the first, pour the flour; in the second, beat the eggs; in the third, mix together the breadcrumbs, salt and pepper;

  3. Coat the tofu cubes with flour, dip them in the beaten egg, and then coat them with the breadcrumb mixture;

  4. Heat the oil to 180ºC in a deep fryer or a high, narrow pot;

  5. Fry the cubes until golden brown;

  6. Serve with the desired sauce, such as a dip made from fermented tofu. Enjoy!
