Smoked Spanish Paprika Tofu

Ingredients yields : 2 servings)
  • 100 g firm tofu

  • 15 ml vegetable oil

  • 60 ml soy sauce

  • 60 ml cooking wine

  • 50 g sugar

  • 15 ml pimentón de la Vera*

  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • 10 g cornstarch

  • 10 ml water

  • 1 sprig of scallion

*Smoked Spanish paprika

Realisation
  1. Cut the tofu into thin slices;

  2. Mince the garlic and scallion;

  3. Mix the soy sauce, cooking wine, sugar, pimentón de la Vera, and garlic together;

  4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes;

  5. Dissolve the cornstarch in water, then add it to the mixture, stirring to thicken the sauce;

  6. Heat the oil and brown the tofu on each side;

  7. Spread the tofu with the sauce, and sprinkle scallions on top;

  8. Serve and enjoy!
